CSA

Nev-R-Dun Farm currently offers CSA shares. To those unfamiliar with the term CSA, it stands for “Community Supported Agriculture”. First started in Japan many years ago, it has since spread around the world as a popular way for the general community to become involved in the working farm. Our CSA is run in a manner that the customer buys a share of the produce before the season begins. This guarantees the customer a portion of the spring, summer and fall harvest.

The CSA is mutually beneficial for the farmer and the customer. For the farmer, having payment for his crops, his efforts, up front, enables him to purchase the many different necessities for the season, such as seed, compost, fencing, equipment, etc., at a time when the flow of money is many months in the future. For the customer, it is a means of assuring a weekly allotment of fresh, and in our case certified organic, produce. It is also a means to join in to a farming community of sorts. Each member can consider themselves as a valuable asset to the farm and will reap the benefits of extra effort to produce the highest quality fruits and vegetables available.
